With their beautiful red color, these red pitaya fruit immediately stand out, but also because of the spike-like green leaves. Although this variant is not as sweet as the yellow variant, it still has a delicious taste! The taste can be described as tasty and sweet and is similar to a kiwi or watermelon. Try it yourself to find out! The seeds in the fruit itself are edible and have a nutty flavor. Out of stock or not the desired format?
Does your cutting not have the desired format or is it even out of stock? Send an email to [email protected]. We can cut the cuttings to a desirable size for you, this is no problem at all. If the cuttings are not in stock, please let us know. The stock which is present above is the quantity of cuttings we have in the Netherlands (our main office). However, in Surinam (where our farm is), we possess many more cuttings. By your request we can send the cuttings to the Netherlands (no additional costs of course). Just let us know and we’ll take care of the rest for you and send you any dragon fruit colours you like. 🙂

Red flesh dragon fruit tends to have more green and thick scales. Next to this, they are also more curvy, narrower and darker as well. Please keep in mind that these are suggestions. Experience will tell. 🙂
In general, the white fleshed pitayas are bigger compared to the red flesh dragon fruits. However, keep in mind that these are not set-in-stone definitions.

Due to a compound called betacyanin. This same pigment is also present in prickly pear fruit and beets as well.
