You can also change your regular shipping to express shipping if necessary.

We want to explain why we charge a handling fee:

1. Cleaning and packaging seeds is not always quick or easy. It takes 15-30 minutes to clean and package 10-15 seeds. We charge a handling fee to cover our labor costs.

2. PayPal charges us high fees for payment. To be transparent, we include these fees in our handling fee.

3. Orders with less than 15 seeds often don’t cover our costs. We manually handle everything, and it’s not profitable to charge only for the seeds. So we charge a handling fee to cover these costs.

We don’t include these costs in the price of our products to avoid making our prices too high. We hope you understand our reasoning and feel free to email us if you have any questions.

Shipping

Questions about shipping, international shipping, shipping costs, shipping duration, shipping countries and more. Please always read the page: Shipping information for all shipping information.

We ship every Monday and Tuesday when available in stock.
We don’t ship later in the week because often packages will “stay the weekend” in a distribution center so the shipping time will be 2-3 days longer. We know this from our own first hand experience. We want to reduce the shipping as much as possible so this is the best we can do.

Sometimes we will sent packages out after 2 weeks of ordering. This is due to certain practical decisions. It’s very normal that international packages are sent 2 weeks after ordering. All due to the best way of sending, the best timing of sending the as fresh as possible plants, cuttings or seeds! πŸ™‚

Holiday’s:
– We always close shipping the last 2,5 weeks of december

This depends on your country and HOW you want to ship your product. In example: Do you choose for Express shipping (extra fast) or for Regular shipping?

Calculate your own shipping costs:
Before you fill in your personal information, you will see a shipping calculator in your cart below the products you want to order. If you fill this in you will see an estimated price for shipping to your home address.

Yes, we send our Dragon Fruits Cuttings Worldwide!

Exceptions: Shipping to the USA, Canada and Australia are standard not possible. This is because of the strict border regulations of the goverments. We often ship to these countries but only when you as customer are asking us by e-mail to ship to your country and you give us a explicit confirmation that you are taking all the risk. We can’t be held responsible for declined packages in your country.

Note: A lot of Canadian customers are placing orders with a Permit. This is a declaration of import in your country. When a permit is added, the customs will approve your packages always! πŸ™‚ We also have different success cases with customers from the USA with a personal permit.

Please note that delivery times for our regular parcel service tend to be longer compared to express shipping. For dragon fruit orders, we strongly advise selecting express delivery to ensure the freshness and longevity of your purchased items.

Our specialized packaging techniques extend the shelf life of seeds, making them suitable for regular shipping. Rest assured that your seeds will arrive in prime condition.

Cuttings can withstand travel for approximately 6-8 days. For customers residing within Europe, regular shipping is a viable option. However, if you’re located outside of Europe, we strongly recommend choosing express shipping to guarantee the optimal quality of your cuttings upon arrival.

Make an informed decision and enjoy a exotic shopping experience with us!

Luckily you can! If we send your package to the post office, you will receive an email from the postal company with a tracking code, so you can easily follow your package and get updates.

We are sorry to hear that, but please contact the postal company first.

If this takes too long, email us with your order number so we can look into it, and keep you posted.

All our parcels will be shipped from The Netherlands to any country in the world!

It is very simple, because in Surinam we don’t have the possibility to ship worldwide. This is because of a different and long infrastructure and there are often poorer arrangements when it comes to sending packages as well.

The Netherlands on the other hand has a very good infrastructure, and worldwide shipping. So that’s why we choose to ship from The Netherlands.

The Netherlands and Suriname share a unique and special (colonial) connection. A remarkable fact is that nearly the same number of Surinamese people reside in the Netherlands as in Suriname itself. Our family ties in Suriname enable us to facilitate swift shipments to the Netherlands.

We feel truly fortunate to have strong bonds between both countries and family members in each location, all collaborating with a shared passion for plants. This close-knit relationship greatly benefits our mission to bring the beauty of these plants to you.

We use 3 postal companies. This depends on where you live and what will be cheaper/ faster for you.

We work with:
1. PostNL
2. DHL
3. UPS

If you have a preference please let us know in your order notes or send us an email with your order number in it so that we can take this into consideration.

No, we can not provide you with a phytosanitary certificate with any parcel.

We are a small team with mother and son plus aunt and uncle in another country. We don’t have the capability nor the amount of orders that we could offer any phytosanitary certificate.

Of course you could arrange this by yourself for your country. We have a lot of happy Canadian customers who are providing a Permit for import for these specific organic products. They now 100% sure that everything will be received perfectly fine.

Or course we have a lot of experience with almost all countries around the world and we know how to pack things for which country. In example, New-Zealand has different more strict requirements so we adjust our packaging so all our happy friends in N-Z will receive there orders as planned πŸ™‚

If you are living in a European country it is most certainly not necessary to have a phytosanitary certificate due to EU regulations.

Cuttings & Plant Questions

How to GROW Dragon Fruits

Sometimes the cuttings take plenty of time to grow. But once the growth is there, it goes fast. Make sure the soil they are in has good nutrients. We put our cuttings in a planting hole with manure, charcoal, airy soil and covered with a layer of humus.

Make sure that no water can remain around the cutting. So rather on a mound. Dragon fruits create a network of superficial roots outside of a taproot. These should not be placed in direct sunlight, so covering with humus is an option. You could also put some flower plates on the mound so that the bottom is covered against the sun. The roots of those plants must be small. So bedding plants lend themselves well to this. And it still looks bright!

Because the cutting has been in the box, it can get a little yellow. Make sure the cutting can acclimate in the right conditions. So first get used to normal daylight before you put the cutting in the sun. The chlorophyll will then recover in most cases.

Rust spots on dragon fruits are actually the fungal disease Botryosphaeria or brown stem spot disease. It is a non-aggressive disease that can cause small brown spots on the plant.

Read this blog article about the causes and how to prevent these rust spots!

The different outside colors that exist are Green, yellow, red, purple and pink. The different colors on the inside that exist are red, purple, white and magenta.

Read more about the different variations in this article.

Mostly but we have some other varieties that are not yet on the website because the plants are still too young and too small πŸ™‚

Yes there is, but due to climate change it’s sometimes very hard to “promise” availability. We are working with living things and we don’t use any bad stuff, pesticides etc so fully organic. So we have a lot of circumstances we have to deal with. A lot of surprises from mother nature haha. Let me know if you have any specific wishes where you want to wait for.

Both options are possible!

We can send the cutting with roots or a dried cutting without roots. We can send it however you like and want.

Important Note: some countries don’t allow plants with roots so first check this in your country. We never send it with soil, but with sphagnum so that is a little bit moisty. It’s prohibited to send plants with soil so sphagnum or something like that is the best way to go (we know from experience) πŸ™‚
